Donations Received
The support for Birthdays From The Heart continues to grow and we are very happy to know that there are so many others who also believe that every child should get to celebrate their Birthday, no matter their circumstances.
We have been surprised (and very grateful) for the donations from different businesses that came about because an employee in each nominated Birthdays From The Heart.
In a year that saw us having to stop due to COVID lockdowns, the cancellation of two fundraising events and then trying to still provide Birthdays as restrictions began to ease, our bank account dwindled to pretty much nothing and we wondered how we were going to continue.
A call for help to our supporters was met with such generosity, it had us gobsmacked and it was the beginning of an amazing period of good fortune.
From funds raised at our 2nd annual Black Tie Burger & Beer Night, donations from individuals and the Floreat Lions Club to winning the grant from Channel 9/Bankwest (which brought more donations), we were so relieved to know that we weren't going to ever have to say 'no' to an agency that asked for our help.
But it didn't stopped there. We were so fortunate to have received donations from:
City of Stirling - nominated by an employee to be the recipient of funds raised through their Employee Casual for a Cause Day.
Commonwealth Bank Ellenbrook - selected by the team to receive a donation as part of the Commonwealth Bank's Community Donations Program.
To each of those employees THANK YOU for choosing us.
To each of those businesses THANK YOU for caring about the community.
